Iv just had a client who said she wants that just woken up look! Nothing really curly just a wave. So I curled with HHFA very quickly just to get a loose wave and she said it wasn't enough so I curled a bit more then she said it was too much! Arghhh I dnt think she knew what she was after I then tried the wand and let it go very quickly and it look lovely! But no it still wasn't right! An any one give me tips on that just woken up tousled look? Xxx

loose curls with the ghds and scrunch some salt spray in with a diffuser, and a little after to style :)

Curly blowdry!! If you can do it...not many can without getting the brush stuck!!

this is me.....!! how would you go about it the right way please? would love to learn :)
i tend to do the same as perry_althair myself, my regular blow dries are good, nice and smooth and big (when asked for lol) but i have never mastered the curly blow dry  xxx

I can curl blow dry and i do often, but for this look i dont think a curl blow dry would be best, unless finished off with a salt spray but it would ruin it

I too love to do a curly blow dry! Il let blue rinse explain how to do it haha but a tip is while the hair is still warm from the dryer if you roll the hair up into its curl and use a pin-curl clip to hold it in place while it cools down the curls last much longer x

I do this too, or while still warm wind
On a small Velcro roller, when cool unwind! ;) love blow drying!! ;)

I might do a curly blowdry class :0)

I did a curly blow dry first but it was too big! She didn't like it! I think she is just one of those that doesn't know what she wants, xxx

have you tried waving it with the irons? not curling it but sort of bending the hair in opposite directions as you move it down the section? sorry if I didnt explain that too well..... xxx

i know what you mean, have the hair in the iron and bend it towards you for a half turn, then away from you for a half turn all the way down? same technique if you do it tight you can get an oldschool Hollywood wave if you then pin it and set it!! supose if you done it and shook it out while still a little warm it would be good!! or maybe ghd curl and really seperate it with your fingers or comb with a little product on and really loosen it? xxx

Yeah, good strong blowdry with mousse, then loosely defined texture cream, roll each section up asking as your ceramic brushes don't get stuck!

Yes! you explained that far better than me! haha. I do this on myself wuite alot and it comes out lush if its done quite tight, then a light cream or serum raked through with your fingers. really natural tousled look, and not sticky xxx

i have done this loose waves look with the wand just letting go very quickly, have also done this blowdrying and wrapping sections round and round then drying them as im twisting (if this makes sense!) then leaving them twisted, kind of looks like mini dreadlocks lol then they fall into loose natural curls - just need to make sure that the hair isnt too damp when you start twisting or the hair wont be properly dry x

I use big tongs, tong quite large sections but not too big that it won't curl, then once done run my hands through it lots with smoothing syrum/cream and that's it x
