I just wondered if any one here has done a nail technicians course with the beauty academy?

they offer courses which give you a beauty academy diploma which is nationally recognised and approved by BABTAC and the guild of professional beauty therapists...

so does this diploma enable you to work with in a beauty salon with out other certificates? is it the equivulant to what yo acheive with cnd or nsi?

You seem to be going round in circles.

You posted a thread earlier about education .. got all sorts of good advice of where to go and now you post another.

Are you just waiting to hear the answer you want to hear :green: or are you genuinely asking for advice? If you are asking for advice then why not take the advice you have been given?

I don't know anything about this school but I do know who has the best reputation in the industry and now so do you from your other thread. No other training providers have the reputation that CND enjoys. Now you can take your chances with whoever but you have had good advice from quite a few now as to what would be your best bet.

Your first question you should ask of the school you mention. The answer to your 2nd question is ... no, it will not be equivalent to CND. I can't speak for NSI.

i am genuinely asking for advice from professionals. I want to do as much research in every area before paying alot of money to do a course which may not be the right one.

Every one is very different and what may be good for one might not be the same from someone else. I believed this forum was full of professional nail technicians and so after looking and finding many different training centres offering different courses with different certificate i am now asking the professionals which they have done and what their certificate enables them to do profession wise..

I dont want to just jump into things head first and thought it is a wise idea to find out as much as possible so i dont make a mistake.

I have looked in to cnd and recieved their course info, but would like to know more about other training centres others have used and what qualification they gained from it.

Why do you not do a search on 'training' right here on the site and you will have weeks of reading to read through ... and I would have thought would have enough info to make an informed opinion.

You must appreciate that posts of the nature of yours have been answered thousands of times before. A search will give you tonnes of info and then if you still can't make up your mind, then specific questions are more than welcome.

You are doing absolutely the right thing to enquire before taking such an important step (if more people did then fewer would be ripped off on such a regular basis as they are now). I applaud you for doing it .. but try the search engine first as I'm sure it will help you.

I trained with The Beauty Academy and they are excellent would highly recommend them.

Hi

i have trained with them for all my courses, they are great. You will enjoy the course and come away feeling confident, They would not pass you if they had any doubts.

The certificates you get will be Diploma's which allows you to get insurance you can then follow the courses up into NVQ and pay the extra but this is hard work, as the courses are very intense and you have to put the work in.

Hope this helps

Good Luck x

Hi jellybean, I know exactly what you mean. Some training providers have high level of certificates whilst others have a basic level of certificate eg NVQ's, Diploma's etc. I can say this, the course that you choose depends on what experiences you have in nails, how creative you are and how far you want to go. Some training courses do conversion courses whilst others do foundation levels. I would also like to know the answers from your questions asked because I would like to do some more courses. I would like to do some creative courses because I am ready to move on and offer my clients something more. Hope this is helpful .
