This was my first attempt at putting a French tip on myself and I think it looked awful. :Scared:

Feedback would be very much appreciated as to where I went wrong!

BTW, just thought i'd add, i've only been doing Nail Tech since 4th Feb of this year, lmfao.

Ps. Sorry for the poor quality piccy!

Hi Lou Lou,

I'm really sorry hun, but the picture is really blurry and I am unable to give any kind of comment, however, the tip looks like it's been placed too high up the nail plate.

Hav another go at taking a few pictures from different angles &
use the 'macro' setting on your camera, that will give you a clear, close up image. It's usually marked by a little flower symbol on the camera settings.

As said the photo is quite blurry, but from what I can see the tip is just placed too close to the cuticle, thus shortening the nail bed and giving a stubbed effect to the finger.
You will learn more as you go through your course and from that you will learn how to extend the nail bed, meaning placing the white further up and using an opaque pink powder to cover the extended area.
Hope that makes sense and do enjoy your course.

Thanks girls. I do appologise for the terrible picture quality.

I am learning the silk system, so am not using powder.

xx

try extending the nail bed using the white tip and fill in the gap using an opaque powder.i have done this with much success.
there are photos in my album that will show you how to do it.
you need white tips that have deep smile lnes though.x
