I am on the foundation degree in salon and spa management course. I have a assignment to do on "the influence of ayurvedic system on the east(india) and west(uk) on salon and spa industry".
I would like to ask of your comments of experiences and ideas on the topic as I have started the research. I am looking at Is it ayurvedic traditionally based? How did it arrive into the u.k? Is there a demand for this ayurvedic therapy? Are there clinics, salons and spas offering this therapy , Are they being practised in the right places? How are staff trained? short course or Is there a standard qualification that is recognised and if yes what is it? What treatments are being practised using the ayurvedic system and the techniques used to practise? what are they?Is it accepted as a holistic therapy and beauty therapy? Who uses this treatment as a client. Does it depend on there lifestyle ie: stress? Does it appeal in the salon or spa industry and has it grown offering the ayurvedic products and services? what ayurvedic brands are used in the industry how effective are they ? Is there a good demand for retail for this? Is there a future growth for the salon and spa industry using the ayurvedic system in there therapies and there treatments.

Have you contacted HABIA? Whilst I was doing my foundation degree, I contacted them, and they rather sent me some info or directed me, where I could find it.

Where you doing your course?

Thankyou, I will contact habia now. Hampshire
