Thin gel top coat over regular polish

Hi Everyone!
Have any of you used a thin gel topcoat over regular polish to make it last longer? I would of course be curing under a light. If any of you can recommend brands that you've had luck with, that would be great!

No, normal polish releases vapours which will not be able to escape if sealed in gel top coat, you'll get peeling and product breakdown. Gel is not chemically formulated to adhere to normal polish.

No, the product systems are not compatible and the layers will peel off.
