I am wondering if anyone has a method for putting a line/border along the smile line in acrylic. I can do it in gel (just string it along the edge), but am having difficulty in acrylic.

I first do the colored tip, then I put the line along the smile line edge with another colored acrylic, but I am having difficulty making the line crisp and and a consistent width.

Any tricks or suggestions besides painting it on after they are done??

thanks so much in advance!!

You may want to try using the ingraving bit from YN that may give you what you are looking for However if this is not what you want I would just call Greg at YN and ask him what to try 1-800-777-9170

Thanks so much...I just ordered the engraving bit and am hoping that will do it...I have a bit similar, but is much bigger.

Thx much!!

I acutally do fine lines with my cuticle remover bit on my e-file. just do your pink and whites like normal (or whatever colors you happen to be using) but make sure they're not too thin that the bit will drill through them and into the nail bed. i trench the lines about 1/4 to 1/2 way through and if you use a slightly wet mix ratio it will acutally flow through the lines you trenched when you drop a bit into the start of your line, you shouldnt have to work it through too much. this is pretty simple and looks great, works for me! good luck:green:

i drill out my french area first, apply the colour you want to be the thin one first...no need to make it cover the whole area...once dry drill out underneath it and apply the colour that you want as a big part...then finish off as usual

Any suggestions for this without a drill? I have tried it but my line sometimes ends up too thick.
