To bring about a little balance to the discussions about our clients, here is the thread where you can wax lyrical (see what I did there!) about them!

I LOVE it when they send you a text a few days after their treatment to tell you how great it was/how much better their skin is/how soft their feet are/how many compliments they got about their tan.

I LOVE it when they recommend you to their friends too!

i love my clients that always give me a big hug when they leave and say thankyou
it means the world to me

great thread btw x

I love the hugs, kisses, compliments, texts, emails and... the MONEY :green:

I havent been mobile very long, but what I love most is the first client I had, (that wasnt a friend or anything) has championed my cause and got me 5 new clients.
Thats the best feeling ever, being recommended ...xx

I just love my clients for being my clients..its nice to feel wanted.

I just love my clients full stop, new room, new clients love them all xx

  • I love... my clients being on time/early for their appointments
  • When they re-book their next appointment before leaving
  • When they write nice things in our comments book
  • When they recommend us & send us new clients
  • When they do their Christmas shopping with us (one client has bought 8-10 pressies off us for the past few years :))
  • Smell 'fresh' & haven't had a cigarette just before their appointment
  • Leave a tip, although as the owner I don't get as many as my therapist does
Can't think of any more at the mo

What I love about my clients, well, I love to see their faces when I have buffed up their nails and they are happy with their nails.

I love the fact that they feel they can trust me enough to tell me things that they would never tell other people.

I love the lovely compliments and the recommendations they give other people to come to me.

I loved the flowers I got from a client whose nails had been trashed before by a nss salon and she sat there rigid the first time she came to me through nerves and now she is so relaxed.

I could go on, yes the positives certainly outweigh the negatives. :)

Well said! I guess this is the crux of the matter :)

im loving this thread!!!
makes me go all funny inside!

ive thought of more!!!
i love it when my clients come in early and put the kettle on as they know i wont have time to make them a drink!!

i love my clients who bring wine in and the glasses!!

i love my clients who have comforted me when ive been a messy, sobbing wreck!
lol professional, no, human yes!!

in fact i love all my clients,
i call them in between appts to ask how they got on at hospital appts that they told me they were worried about, i stay later sometimes for them if need be, the appreciation i get from my clients , makes me carry on

there !!!smushiness over!!!

I love the chats...
I love it when I open the door to a new client, and they look totally petrified...but by the time they leave, they are relaxed smiling...are on "best pal" terms with the kids, and of course my dog...who never lets anyone leave without falling in love with him first :green:

I even love the ones who I have become more familiar with who have actually turned up in the pjammies for evening appts, lol...it would drive some of you mad I know...but I don't mind one bit, I think its cool that they feel so relaxed lol...

I have come to the conclusion what works for me doesn't work for everyone, some people would find it downright shocking that I allow clients to come in their PJ'S or that I sometimes don't mind them popping outside for a ciggie.

I love the way if they ever bring a friend they say straight away "Emma, get your album out, and wheres all them little things that you make out of acrylic?" to proudly 'show me off'
It makes me proud too...
I love loads of things about my clients actually.

I love my clients when:

They rebook.
They recommend me.
Compliment my service.
They ring and cancel well in advance, not 5 mins before I'm due.
They follow my recommendations for aftercare\treatment.

I love all my clients otherwise they wouldn't be my clients. I would just say I couldn't fit them in. I have some really good chats with some of them.

I agree the positive certainaly outweighs the negatives.:)

I love clients that actually use their oil
I love clients that make me a drink (can't take it for granted when you're mobile, lol)
I love clients that are flexible if I need to change an appt (cos I'm always flexible when they need to!)
I love clients that I can have a easy chat with (no forced conversation)

Most of all I love clients who look at their nails when I'm finished and say 'wow, I didn't know you could make them look like that' (usually when I've extended their nail beds)

The positives definitely outweigh the negatives, and I really love my job!!

I love clients who are honest about what happened to that broken nail...

I love clients who always say "thanks Angie they look lovely as always"

I love clients who recommend me

I love clients who on a wet and miserable day cheer me up and by the time they leave my cheeks hurt from laughing.

I love clients who respect what i do and know that working from home doesn't make it a hobby.

Wedding nails - It's so lovely to see a bride so happy with her nails. I did a bridal party a few weeks back, and the bride was over the moon with her nails, she also liked spending the afternoon at the salon with her mum and bridesmaid having a drink and a chat, she said it was the most lovely way to spend the day before her wedding.

When they respect your professional opinion. Sometimes a client can grumble about something that bothers them, for example they might say how they hate the torn, rough skin around their nails. You then recommend a care routine and a couple of products, and they really appreciate that. It's nice to think you can help (not to mention the retail revenue!)

Last night I had a client who had truly the worst feet I've seen in a long time. Her little toe nail was about an inch long, most of her feet were covered in frightful callus and generally they were atrocious. I spent 2 hours on them, 2 lots of callus peel (there was SO much of it) and when I'd finished she burst into tears saying she didn't realise it was possible to have pretty feet ever again. I felt very proud to have done such a good job!
