I am thinking of signing up with Pinks Academy in Derby to do my pedicure course but wondering how you choose what products to use?

If I don't train with CND for my pedicure course can I not use CND products then?

Is it a case of trying companies you are interested in?

Just wondering how you go about deciding what products to use?

Of course you can use some CND products if you havent' trained with them. As long as you have a recognised qualification in nails then you can buy varnishes, pedi/mani products but not monomer and polymer, gels etc.

Well you will never find better than CND ... end of story .. whether is be manicure or pedicure products. Youare already training with them so just further yourtraining with them for manicure and pedicure. However, you can buy the manicure and pedicure products from CND if you have trained with someone else but you would still want to do product training with CND if you bought their pedi or mani products .. otherwise how would you know anything about what you were using?

I am a bit confused...can you not do a conversion with CND regarding natural nail care.......i converted from OPI and i am a pedicure nut now:eek::lol:

Cucumber heel therapy, sea salt scrub, the pine and eucalyptus soak is amazing, the raw earth products are generic, the smells remind me of Aveda hair care i use:)....and the end results are amazing....combine it with brisa toes in the summer and you are on to a winner:hug:

Would love to do it with CND geeg but this month the budget is very tight, would have to wait a good few months until I could afford to do the CND one. With the L&P course I am looking at using £1,000 with the course and product so have to be careful money wise.

Basically with the CND Pedi and Mani course you pay for the products, the training is free, so the long and the short of it is, you would be saving money!

Im with Gabi on this CND Mani and Pedi stuff is amazing! xxx:hug:

I really really really would love to do it with CND but financially I can't afford it at the moment - oh I am so confused, I keep turning away potential clients who want pedicures, just this weekend alone I turned away 7!

Ive booked CND mani & pedi the cost was: cost of kits - £190 inc vat

The training free, I am sure there are a couple of places left for 28th April,

Think the prices are about to change though

Its this month I want to do it for but just don't have that amount of money so wish I did. I think even the 28th April date is a date I have free from work - oh I am so frustrated! :irked:

Actually Leeds course is on the 25th.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm just thinking over time here now as I so want on it.

Arrrrrrrggggggg I am going to go insane! Wondering if I really sacrifice some things that could I just about get the money together -really means sacrificing a lot this month and next month!

Join the club lol

And the council tax is due lmaooooooooooooo

What is the rush?? I'm sure you can hold our horses for a month or two and do the mani pedi later. Prtactise your enhancement skills first.

You are right as always geeg, I guess its because I have turned down 7 pedicures and I have thought of the money that would have gone towards paying off my L&P course.

Although I can understand the desire to get on with your training, if you absolutely cannot afford to do your course of choice for a little while, I'd wait until you can.

If you undertake training that you know in your heart isn't what you want, you will still be hankering after it later on. The chances are that you will ultimately pay twice over, once for what you didn't want in the first place and then again for what you do. x

Stop dilly dallying and book yourself onto the course.....seriously. Look at it this way. You had to turn away 7 potential clients this weekend. I dont know how much you were thinking of charging but lets say you charged £25 for a spa pedicure service.....this would have made you £175 this weekend alone. You would only have been £15 short of making back the money you paid out. The kits you get are professional size so you are easliy able to get 15 treatments out of them so effectively you are making a 50% (give or take on the % due to the price your gonna be charging) profit on what you originally paid out. You also have to remember that once you have done the training the products you re-stock on are not going to cost you £190 everytime you need to purchase them. Holiday season is just around the corner......take this opportunity to go out and make yourself some serious money to be able to re invest into your education programme to become a Master technician. Introducing mani and pedis into your services enables you to perform services on the women that dont wear enhancements.......and the enhancement market is tiny compared to the natural nail market out there......ya get me. Lol.

Right I have decided................

.............sticking with CND its the sensible option and I will slap myself on the wrists for thinking otherwise.

Will phone S2 tomorrow and fingers crossed there is a place left on the 25th April day.

Thanks everyone for sorting my stupid head out!

AND.....you are coming up to the busiest 3 months of the year for pedicures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND.....according to The Guild statistics...the last 3 years in a row, pedicures have been the biggest growth area in the beauty industry!!!!

GOOD LUCK...you will LOVE the products!

Thats it its booked for the 25th in Leeds, I will soo be CND through and through LOL
