As a wife of a Fireman I felt I had to post this thread.
My heart is breaking for the poor family's of those heroic men lost in the warehouse in Atherstone on Stour, Warwickshire.

These family's must be going through hell at the moment clinging to the hope that a miracle might have saved their men.

I want to send my prayers out to them their family's friends and colleagues.

Firefighters Creed

When I'm called to duty god
wherever flames may rage

give me strength to save a life
whatever be its age

Help me to embrace a little child
before it is too late

or save an older person from
the horror of that fate

Enable me to be alert
to hear the weakest shout

and quickly and efficiently
to put the fire out

I want to fill my calling and
to give the best in me

to guard my neighbour and
protect his property

And if according to your will
I have to lose my life

bless with your protecting hand
my children and my wife

I send my :hug::hug: to all firefighters and their families

Karen I quite agree, with my partner also being a fireman, and myself being ambulance crew, we both can sadly get to witness horrible things together.

A very sad time for all.

I'm sending my prayers, thoughts and love as well :hug:

My family mean the world to me  and to think of these families having to suffer the pain which they must be going through, leaves me with a huge empty hole inside!:hug::hug::hug:

Karen - what a lovely caring person you are - I hope your hubby keeps safe throughout not only his working life but always

Take care xx

A very moving poem and I am sure all our thoughs and prayers are with the families of those missing firemen. I truly believe that without their families to back them up they would not be able to their jobs as well as they do.
