Thumbs - Anyone else have problems with shaping?

This probably sounds really stupid, but.. I am having problems with my clients thumbs? I can never get them to look as narrow and shaped as the fingers.

When I bring the side walls in, they still look to wide in zone 3, and they always look too thick.

Does anyone else have this problem, is there a knack to doing thumbs? lol

Yes i know wot ye mean as i hate the look of thumb nails!! I jst try n make them a tiny bit tapered in at the very edge of the free edge!!!!!!!

I hate doing thumbs!
I had a client in today and her thumb nail was wider than the nail on my big toe!!!..and she insisted that she wanted her nails square!!
She left happy, leaving me thinking I hope she sits on her hands for the next few weeks :lol:
I just try and taper them in a bit, but I know what you mean about them looking thick...dont think iIve found the knack yet either :irked:
