Tint shelf life?

I found some eyelash tint from my original kit a few days ago that must be about 3 years old. I wasn't intending on using it but then a collegue said that tint and peroxide don't go off and I shouldn't waste it. Now I was pretty sure that it would expire after about 12 months, or at least not be as effective! But what do you think? :?:

1. Is it open - If not you may be in luck
2. Does it have an expirey date on it? I've had mine over 2 years that i use on myself at home and that's still ok

Unfortunately it is open thats why I wasn't sure but i might give it a go on myself and see how it goes. Oh and I couldn't find the expiry date which I thought was weird!

was it in a box? - if so, look for any brown stains as this means the tints oxidised & probably wont be any good

If not, as long as it was still sealed & no air has got to it, it should be ok

Sorry but I would not risk using this on a client. Tint costs between £3 - £5 depending on brand. Get a fresh one.

Use it on yourself by all means.
