Hi, I wondering if can help? We had a lash a couple of weeks ago in our salon for a lash tint. A couple of days later she called to say we stained her cashmere top and would like £160-200 compensation.
We naturally asked to bring the top on to see the stain asses what we can do.
She got really annoyed saying she was gojng away for 3 weeks in 2 days time and she's working and doesn't have time for this. We have a hairdresser next to us so we asked one of the managers there about it. She said they get it all the time with hair tint and hair spray always works but it has to be done sooner rather than later. We called this lady again, advised her if she could bring it to us to either try this or is to take it to a dry cleaner - but more importantly for us to see the stain.
She said she washed the top and has seen a dry cleaner herself and because it's cashmere nothing can be done, that she got the top in Switzerland and she loved it and how devasted she was.
She still couldn't bring it before her holiday, she said she will bring it in 3-4 weeks time.
She did bring it after her holidays but the stain is so dry by now, the dry cleaner said nothing can be done.
We offered her a £50 voucher to apologize - but she's adamant that unless she gets £100 cash in hand she will take the matter further.
Has anything like this happen to any of you and how did you deal with?

Ridiculous. She’s a scam artist looking for holiday spends.
She originally wanted £160 - £200 but will now accept £100?
Pure chancer.
If it was genuine, she would have come straight back to show you or at least sent you a picture of the stained top immediately, not 2 days later.
Tell her to take you to court.
She won’t do that as she has no evidence that you have caused any damage and the courts will see straight through her.
Even if she has a stained top, how do you know it was your fault and not something that she has done?

Don’t fall for her lies, rescind your voucher offer and refuse to treat her in future.

Totally agree with AcidPerm above.
Anyway, who in their right mind would wear their very expensive favourite top to a salon when they know chemicals will be used!

Even if I'm going just for a hair cut I wear a basic t shirt.
Clients coming for a bikini wax wear old knickers - it's just common sense!
