Hi,

Do you prefer applying tip blender when doing enhancements on tips?
How does it work and also how effective it is?

It melts the plastic and generally i think most techs think it is more trouble than its worth. It gums up your files and weakens your enhancement.
If you use good quality tips with the right file and a good technique (check the tutorials on here ) you really wont need blender.
Alternatively depending on the cliens nails, use tips that do not need blending.

Tip blenders are a waste of money,
they cause service breakdown and like has been said make a mess of your files,
they don't make blending any faster just messy,
try using well less tips these blend in no time at all, hth

In fact well-less tips from CND (called Performance tips) do not need any blending at all but they are not suitable for all nail types.

It is part of every serious technicians repertoire of skills to be able to blend tips in efficiently and safely and it is easy and speedy if you use great quality tips such as CND Velocity.

Tip blenders are a no no for the reasons stated above. Tip blender is only acetone and it is a supposed 'short cut' that will give you' long delays' if you get into the habit of using it.

I do not know any professionals who would use a tip blender. Cowboys/girls, Backyard Barbies and the Kitchen Mafia hobby techs maybe because they know no better, but not pros.

Thanks to all of you for advice which is always of great value to me!
Gigi, you realy made me laugh, as the names you give to non-professional nail doers are so exact
So, Velocity tips are great, while Formation ones are quite thick, but I try to file them and make thinner before applying as my skills and experience don`t allow to file them bravely yet. Honestly, it does take me quite a lot of time to blend them as I am always afraid to touch the natural nail. So, learning and practising a lot :)

It is a positive thing to be cautious at this stage, good for you.

You will speed up just like we all did and then you will go on to use Well less Performance tips every chance you get and seldom blend unless you need to (which sometimes you do).
