Hi

I have just started out in nails and wondered which was the best glue to use to stick on tips?

I am currently using a brush on glue by pure nails, but wondered if maybe this wasnt as effective as the squeeze bottles of glue?!

Thanks
Leah

Hi there. first of all we do not use glue, we use adhesive! A glue is usually derived from animal by products and has low strength and tends to disolve easily in warm water.

Ok lecture over:D I personally use CND Speedbond, which set quickly, however it is a thin adhesive. Hth:D

Pardon my ignorance!! im on information overload when it comes to nails at mo and couldnt think of the right name for it!!
Do you think it matters whether its brush on or not as i was training to use bottle but find brush on obviously much easier!
Thanks

lol theres so much to know you wouldn't have thought it possible;) The brush on is much easier to place where you want it and to controll the amount you use.The bottles squeeze to much out sometimes and as you say you are new to nails and you may well get stuck to your client, last thing you want but a lot of us have done it x

Yes have also got stuck to people and my own arm lol. Will stay with the brush on in that case!
Thanks for all your help.

I wish someone would come up with an anti clogg bottle which actually works!! LOL

I use kinetics brush on resin - it is super strong!!

Clean the top of the bottle after every use and apply little cuticle oil around the screw section. Keep bottles in upright position! This will never clogg.

;)

I use speed bond which is a thin adhesive and gelbond which is a thicker gel like adhesive(my favourite).

* Adhesive
I find that brush ons work better as the squeezey ones always clog up on me. My lid dose tend t stick a little at times but just wiping it with a cotton wool pad with a little acetone helps clean it right up.
