Hey so this week I am for the first time doing a full set of white tips with gel overlay. ( i have done many many sculpted gels just not so many with tips)
I am wondering if someone has exact step by steps for this? I am using Aksentz, either options or classic.

I know prep nail
put on tips
blend
then my first gel layer
*then do I file? and put on a top coat or just finish with the one layer of gel??

thanks :) sorry if this seems dumb but just wanted to make sure

I don't see why anything should change in your method of building a nail, just because you have tipped it?

You would build in strength in the normal way in the areas where you need it just as always.

Just painting gel over a tip won't be strong or last for your client.
There is no strength in a tip. The strength of an enhancement is in how you build the overlay whether sculpted or not.

You don't blend white tips...just remove the shine....if you blend it you will loose the smile line.

once the tip is applied just carry on as you would using your builder gels to create the strength and shape of the nail...then file and buff to refine and gloss.

ok perfect! thanks so much. yes that makes sense haha. it is my first time using well- less as well.. but think I will be ok. any tricks to that?
thanks again. i am doing them tomorrow I believe.:green:

No tricks to the well - less tips. (that I know of anyway:green:), if you are using cnd performance, they are already thin and shine removed, if you are using another brand, ensure they are thin enough as the strength is in the overlay - you don't want thick chunky nails, also make sure that the shine is removed. All the best for tomorrow.
