Hi all,

Just wondering if you can give me any tips for starting out as a mobile nail tech, i.e. advertising, pricing while I'm still training, and the basic equipment I will need to carry when seeing clients. It's all a bit daunting and I don't know where to start! Any help would be greatly appreciated :) x

You need to give it a while for people to have time to answer :)

I work mobile, i have 2 boxes. One for my enhancement products, one for my natural nail products (manicure / pedicure). I have a small fold up table too.

You need to sort out some student insurance if you are working on the general public and they may have some rules on what you can charge while training.

From what i've read, word of mouth seems to be the best advertising form so get all your friends and family on board. But a facebook page, advertising on the free websites such as gumtree, flyers through doors, wear your own work and hand out business cards if people compliment you on them all seem to be high on the list too.

Hope that helps a little
