Hi, I recently had a lady with VERY flat thumb nails. The rest of her nails were ok, it was just her thumbs for some reason. I had a really hard time getting a white tip to stick on and when it did it wasn't a great shape, very flat looking (obviously!) I have a feeling that they will 'pop off' quite quickly. I did explain this to her and asked her to let me know if this happens (it was 3 days ago and no word yet!) Is there a different way of dealing with this? Thanks.

try using a tip that is one or 2 sizes bigger than you need and filing to fit.

a bigger tip wont have such a pronounced curve once you have filed the side walls to fit the nail and should sit better on the flatter surface.

this can be difficult for thumbs that are very big because you may be using the biggest tip size any way. learning to sculpt will help. and building the nail into a nice curved surface will make it look more beautiful too.

I agree with Susan, if you can use a larger tip and file to size. Or if you know how to sculpt. If you use gel and are worried about the c curve there's a tutorial in the tutorial section that shows a clip sort of how they use a clamp for l&ps. Great invention which I myself will be looking into in the near future.
