Hiya,
When i refilled some of my tip box recently, i got some natural cnd performance tips, instead of velocity. But Im really struggling with them.

Hoping for some advice as to how to get to grips with them. I just cant seem to get them to fit like velocity, the c curve doesnt seem as deep, the sizes seem bigger and when I stick them to free edge the ears seem to stick up rather than onto the nail.

Then they dont seem to stick v well either, 8 out of 10 times, when i come to do bit blending, they ping back off. :( Maybe i shouldnt be blending at all? Not sure.

Would like to be able to use these, cos I like the idea of them and can see why in theory they ought to be quicker, but at the mo feel like when i refill will be back to velocity.

Thanks

OK hun the point of these tips is that they do not need blending so save yourself the time and trouble,
Are you using gel bond ? you need to be using a liquid adhesive like speed bond,
Apply a little to the nail and a little to the tip, apply the tip at the free edge as far down as you want it to be, hold until the middle bit has taken hold then use your thumb nails to press the ears to the side walls and there you go hun your tip should be well and truly stuck, hth

ive not really used any other CND tips so cant say, but we've used performance on our course and havent been blending them, theyve stuck fine and the ears didnt stick up, plus the sizes seemed ok, but as i say, havent used any other CND tips so nothing to compare to hun

hopefully someone can help you out,

Riiight - no blending, that makes my life easier! Always use speed bond and will just have to carry on holding ears down, thought I must be doing something wrong there.

Ta v much. Helpful geeks as ever.

Let us know if you manage to sort them out

Just to add.... not all tips will suit all clients nails. I have each kind of Creative tips and often get one box out to try and end up swapping for another box cos they don't suit/fit.

I have been using gelbond with performance tips fine.

Have to say Loubylou gave you a PERFECT description of how to apply these tips ... well done Louise!!

Performance tips are so thin and flexible that getting the 'ears' to lie down is easy.

CND do recommend Speed Bond adhesive for Performance tips, but any other CND adhesive will work (they will just take longer to set as they are thicker in viscosity). It is all about PRESSURE. You must apply good pressure for any adhesive to setup correctly. It is more difficult to apply pressure to a well-less tip or a micro contact tip, so make sure you do this.

The reason why your tips pinged off was because you did not apply enough pressure for long enough and the bond was weak. Also as has been said, you do not need to do any blending at all, which is the whole point of the CND Performance tips.
