Tips with Gel Polish

I am looking for some advice! I recently had a client who wanted tips on before I did the gel and they didn't want acrylic.
I just wandered if anyone had done this before? 2 of the tips have come off within 24 hours and they were put on to good sized nails. but I expected that considering there is not much support for the tip, should tips work ok with gel polish?

If a client breaks a nail, I do sometimes tip one or two and have found they last fine.
However, I would recommend that if they wanted all nails extended they would need an overlay of some sort (Gel or L&P).

I have recently invested in a Quick Dip system for this purpose (it's quick and cheap, but gives enough strength that the tips don't snap).
