Hi guys

I have a guy who came in the salon today, he had his big toe nail taken off 7 years ago as it was ingrown, it has grown back perfect etc however the nail bed is damaged, it looks like he has a serious fungal infection under the nail. He fetched in a medical report from a consultant etc and test results to show that it is damage to the nail bed and not fungal.

He was quite distressed as he goes aborad alot with work and has to wear flip flops and people stare, and make comment.

he asked if there was anything i could do to cover it etc. I have only just trained on the foundation course in CND so not 100% confident. He did say he didnt want anything that looked obviously fake or to look like he had varnish on, he aint asking for much is he lol but he was a mans man lol

Any ideas what i could do or try and advice?

Hi Hun,
How about using your CND skills and do a custom blend on his big toe in which ever colour is nearest to his other toe nail colour.
Not using a bright white, maybe the soft white or sheer pink for the growth edge.
He sounds like he would give it a try.
Go on suggest it to him.

I havent done any custom blending with CND just the pink white and clear in their starter kit :-( also would this give him a matt finish so it blende din with the others?

Hi Hun,
It is an opaque powder that hides imperfections on the nail plate.
Yes it can have a matte effect finish, you wouldn't buff it up as much.
As it is on a toe nail, no apex is required, so it would look very natural.
Good luck.
Lotsa luv
