Hello, I am a licensed hairdresser, very new to the business, just want some additional professional advice:
This is actually the second part of lightening my friend's hair. Now I have a question about the toner lol. She has light brown roots and dark colored brown ends. I lightened it to the gold/yellow stage during my strand test, and then I used a toner for about 5-7 minutes with 6N and a little 6A. It turned out almost white, and that is not the tone either of us desire. What is the best toner to cool down orangey tones, but yet make a natural looking blonde highlight?

Hi try L'oreal Luo colour PO1 and just keep an eye on it. Any ash toner will go white/grey/blue if it is not monitored closely.

Hope this helps x

thanks. My salon carries the luo p01, but I have never tried it. Is it best to leave it on for less than 5 minutes so it doesn't turn muddy?
