Hello, I am hoping for some advice on toners. My hair is damaged, lots of bleach, went dark, light, dark light etc. now it wont take any more but at least its at the light yellow stage for toning. I always used to buy the Borne Blonde toner in Natural Pale Blonde, which just gave me a neutral slightly ashy blonde but they are discontinued, so I am looking for something I can buy online. The shop bought ones I tried have turned it grey with purple ends, pink, green etc. I see someone mentioned a 9/16 by Wella which sounds good. I am looking for a bit of depth in my hair, slight ash maybe, or just a neutral looking blonde, not grey or green or pink or lilac. Any advice much appreciated. Thankyou.

Hi if your hair is yellow then using 9/16 won't make it pink the /6 will neutralise the yellow leaving a clean blond. Or if you want to go lower you could use 8/96 it will be slightly more pink tho

Are you a proffessional? I only Ask because you mention shop bought.. I dont intend to cause offence but it would be very unethical to advise you to buy proffesional products....

She just joined the site and asked about this nd it doesn't say she's a pro

This has been moved to Consumer, therefore you can safely assume the OP is non pro.

Hello, thanks for your replies, I posted in the wrong place, then cut and pasted into this part as I thought that this is where it says to post consumer queries, I am a consumer, not a professional. I need a toner that is going to add some depth to my hair, will the Wella 0/6 Colour fresh do this? I dont want to just get the light yellow out and stay this light, I want a more natural toned down colour.
I read about the 9/16 on here and it sounds what I am looking for. Any other ideas? I have been searching on the computer for 3 days trying to find some answers :irked: Could really do with some help.

This is a site for salon professionals, but we do have this Consumer section.
However it is more for our pros to give you advice on conditioning treatments for your hair and suchlike.

It is not to give advice on what professional use only product you can buy to use at home.

The best advice for your situation is to find a good salon specialising in colour or possibly attend your local College where students could do your hair under the supervision of their lecturer.

I advise you to go to a professional! You won't get a good result as it sounds like your hair is very porous in some places, so it will never be an even 'clean' blonde x
