Toning dark hair

Hi! I have medium to dark dyed brown hair, and am wondering if applying Wella charm toner in T35 (beige blonde) with vol. 20 developer would have any effect, and if so what (lightening, toning, etc.) My hair was dyed on originally light brown hair with some added highlights, and the dye is permanent. Thank you!
