I did a search for my question and couldn't find anything on this. :|

What do you do for toenails with a severe C curve? Is there anything I could do to help pinched end, look not so pinched? Then I have this client that also has the severe C curve, but is battling ingrown toenails due to the problem.

These toes are crazy wierd. They are difficult to trim then once trimmed, I worry about the ingrown toenail thing. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!!

have you googled pincer nails?

See, I didn't know these were called pincer nails! Thanks!!! But check out this crazy site I found on this.

Freaky huh??? Yeah, I wonder how many of my clients will actually do such a thing. Wow. I guess, it's true what they say...where there is a will, there's a way. LOL.

i would think only a podiatrist could do anything about the underlying condition.
but you could maybe improve the look of things with an overlay of l/p.
you could shape the product so that the curve appears less severe.

Yeah, I have done the l&p on her toenails. I am anxiuos to see how they turn out in the long run. Funny how clients want us to do things we aren't qaulified to do. This particular lady I am talking about, was wanting me to go in digging into the side wall of her nail and remove the surrounding tissues. EEK!!! Of course, I didn't, I told her to hit a pedi doc, but I guess someone out there will. Sheesh! :Scared:

I would stick to the basics, file the free edge square, and some l&p on them
