I recently got my brows at a salon. I specifically told the girl that I'm very picky w/my brows and want to keep them thick. I was so upset when I looked in the mirror. She did them so thin. I went through this before and it takes a long time to grow them out again. Is there any suggestions for anything I can use on them to make them grow faster? I heard castor oil but not sure how true that is. Thank you for time.

My IHM tutor has alopecia and was saying she had bought something to make her brows grow. Cant remember the name but i will see her tomorrow so will find out for you if you like xxx

Yes, please....I'm desperate right now. Next time I will be waxing my own.

How annoying. There is nothing worse. I am fussy with mine too so know how you feel!
Will give you a message tomorrow hun xxx

I'm sorry to hear you've been let down by a fellow "professional"

I trust you registered your disappointment with the salon concerned.
I've had any number of clients who emphasise again and again how much they don't want their brows overplucked because of such incidents at other salons. It leaves me thinking why on god's green earth people can't listen!

There is a new product called "Ready to Wear" brow extension which I've reviewed for US Vogue (check out the August edition) and I have to say that it's bloody good for such a situation. Not sure it's available here yet, and it gets a crap review on Makeup Alley, but here's a link to it in the States.

What a nightmare. Try Talika for brows......it might work.

Best advice is to find someone who specialises in brows, or do them yourself. I bet you said thank you and still paid her. :) xxx

Thanks for your replys. Kim-I sure did say thank you and still paid & tipped although I really wanted to slap her. I guess I held my cool because I thought what if it was me doing the service for someone else who didn't like them. I should of made it a point to let her know how I really felt though. It's one thing if I didn't specify how I wanted them before the service but I did. In the end, it seemed that she was just doing what she thought looked right on me rather than going by the client's request. So unprofessional! I think I was more made at myself for not doing my own. Worst part is I had just spent 4 months not touching them (letting them grow) because same thing happened before. Never again!!!! Thanks for letting me vent guys!

You know she probably just can't do great brows. There is a real skill and art to it, that can be learnt and I think if they're offering that service......then they should learn.

Oh never mind.....only 4 more months LOL  xxx

Hi
i've had the same problem before and my younger sister stole my wax n tried doing her own (awful)
but i came across a lash and brow conditioning/growth treatment in my local NSI, they mainly do nails but have lots more (try skin doctors relaxaderm while your there i love the stuff). was'nt expensive at all but it worked very well in my opinion, my sisters grew back lovely and thick in no time at all. hope this helps, n maybe powder them in until then.

Pam x
