Hi geeks,

I am just about to play with additives for the first time!

Do I require a separate top coat for them, the same way we would for working with glitter? My glitter top coats aren't too nice but worried about tinting my usual top coat?

I just tried cake pop with violet pearl on a colour pop and its stunning! Would be lovely for a bride.

Look forward to your replies!

Xx

Hi, I've never found I needed a separate top coat for additives as you burnish them into the tacky layer and there's no real excess,I only use a separate top coat for the glitter ones - hth

I will also be trying out CakePop with violet pearl! Thanks :)

No you don't a separate top coat.. I've tried Cake Pop with Violet Pearl Shimmer, it's also gorge with the Pink Gold Shimmer too!

Thank you for the speedy replies

Here is the finished product.....! I found cake pop a bit streaky, reminded me of Romantique. So I decided to do French with it, really unsure about it but put the additive on and it looks lovely in person. Here's a pic, excuse the application, Cream Puff going lumpy!! Xx
