Hi Everyone,

I dropped of some letters ref any work ect (i am a nail tech) and one of the responses was from a Hair Salon Owner that asked me to pop in for a chat which i did she then asked me to paint one of her staff's nails to see how they were which i did, she has now asked me to come back on 2 different days on one day to do a full set of gel nails and then the next day a full set of acrylic nails. With all my own products as they dont offer nails in the salon. Now i understand if they have no products then obviously i need to use mine but 2 whole sets ? I would of thought a hand of each ?
Am i just being silly or does this seem at lot ? I use CND products so technically I am doing 2 sets of nails with my products for free !!! I am going somewhere else today for another trade test and they want me to do 2 gel and 2 acylic.
Sorry if a bit long winded

Janice xx

Yeah 2 whole sets sounds like a lot i would have thought it would have been a hand of each system or even a couple of nails of each system on one hand? I'm not an employer so i dont know the ins and outs of these trade tests. Maybe the owner is just being overly cautious and needs to see the complete sets before makin a decision? She might be learning from previous hiring?

No advice to offer Janice, but just wanted to say what a beautiful cat!:) I have 3 BSH's one cream/blue girl and am a registered breeder. I adore the breed.:)

I think this is too much and uses up too much of your product and time. It is up to you but you need to decide either to discuss this with the owner and come to an arrangement doing one hand with each on the same day. The only thing that I can think of is that she is going to see how they wear over the next week or two on two different types of person. Depends really on how much you want the job. Good luck my darling I hope it all works out the way you want it to :)

I agree with this. I would either offer the above or I would let her know that you'd be more than happy to do the two full sets at the full treatment price you normally charge.

If every salon owner asked for what she has you'd spend all week doing free sets. I really can't believe some people :!:
