I had a client in the other day with nails so bad she couldnt pick anything up as they were so sore - i asked her where she got her last set from and yes you guessed - MMA - rings of fire etc - the only thing i could do for this poor client was put a thin clear layer over them to protect them -

the reason for this thread is - why dont we all get some sort of pertission going on - im sick of geting poor clients in telling me t hat acrylic ruins thiere nails - when they come to me with nails so thin and bruised and mis shapen - theyu seem to think this is the norm - its taking me twice as long to get them to believe in what i tell them - but when it works - they all coming back

Glynis there is a petition going on in the stiky thread hun, don't know the outcome of it tho. I agree with you on that score regards the standards ,but what can we do,people know the gory details as we professionals tell them so often when it's mentioned..but it falls on deaf ears.

I'm re-training in nail enhancements,i qualify in November then doing conversions with Ezflow & CND but haven't had anyone come to me with these nails when doing manicure & pedicures ,i have yet to cross that bridge when the time comes, i have seen what they look like as a few girls in the local shop have them.

Same here, loads of poorly fingers and clients put off L&P. I do the same, thin layer to protect and then they can see the improvement.

I have never seen so much damage from having enhancements, its crazy..
