Training and add on treatments

This is all new to me as are nails but totally loving it:Love:I'm doing the 5 day foundation cdn liquid & powder course at fingertips newbridge. I think I'm doing ok but need to build my confidence and expeirence has anyone any tips or know of any salon/nail bar who may let me visit one day a week to observe or help.

I would ask at the Fingertips centre where you are training. They may have had an enquiry for an apprentice or junior and are your best bet to ask about something like this.

Most salons are very reluctant to offer this type of arrangement to new technicians.
One reason is that salon clients like their 'personal time' with their technician.
Another is why should they help you??
What will they get out of the arrangement? (this is the way they will think). They will see letting you learn from them as just helping the eventual competition. (these are not my personal views by the way but it is how salon owners think).

To go and work is a better possibility Just to go and to observe??? No. I doubt you will find any interest.

Another concern is that it could be very bad for you to do so. Some salons have not had the training you have had and will lower the standards by teaching you all sorts of bad habits. You will learn more form ongoing good training than in a salon at this stage.
