Hi,

Im looking to train as a hairdresser, I am a career changer. 32, male, currently a hypnotherapist. I am looking for training to do NVQ 2. Now that I have decided to take the plunge I want to get training as fast as possible but I am getting quotes back from courses in Manchester of 7K!!!

Does anyone know how I could train without selling a kidney? Failing that, does anyone want a kidney, one careful owner, good working order :)

Cant you just enroll at your local state college, surely they don't charge that amount

Hi,

Yes that's true, however college would only start next sept, then I would be plodding along for a year or two. Private training means that I can start now, and get my NVQ 2 faster. My wife has got a baby on the way so the faster I can get through the training and get earning the better!

your best bet is college, thats where i am doing mine...and as i have never done an nvq2 before it is free....give your local college a call and see.....as a mature student you will do a level 1/2 course i started level 1 september 2007 and have nearly completed my level 2 now and hopefull will start level 3 early....
