Hi geeks!
I'm gonna be doing an acrylic nail course soon. I realise that after it's done, I'm not gonna be perfect at the technique, so what i ask is this.....

Is it ok to advertise training prices in my salon with regards to the nails, so i can show clients I offer the service and get some practice in too??

Any thoughts appreciated.

I did the same as I start up. But it was hart to rise the price afterwards. I lost some of my Models but after a while I get a lot of paying customers.
How much to charge depends on the Material you use. Calculate the average cost you use per client and then set your price on a way that you not lose money.
I started with about 25 Euros for a new Set. Thats about 24 Pounds. I don`t know what Prices you usually have on your area. Don`t go to low with your Price not even when you just exercise - thats my opinion

I read a thread last night similar to this.
Most people were saying they charged about £15.
BUT you must ensure that your customers know that the price will increase in a couple of months (or however long you think it will take to feel confident)
Good luck with this and hope this helps

You could advertise training prices for a certain period

For example "Full Set for £15 for 1 month only"

And then after a month you can see how you feel. If you are confident you can maybe increase the price or if you feel you can't yet justify the price increase you could extend the offer for another month say

HTHs xx

A fab way to word this is...

For a limited time only we will be offering a special price of £xx.xx for nail enhancements while our newest Nail Technician (you) perfects her skills and times"
I think it just sounds better than Training Prices. HTH x
