hi all, am new to the site and this is my first post:eek:.
i did collage training as a beauty therapist when i first left school (many eons ago!) so when i decided to re join the industry i did a nail course for gel and l&p at millenium nail acadamy to refresh. Really need more training now and want to try everything new (i'm like a kid in a sweetie shop). there are sooo many companies out there now and so many systems, have read a lot of threads here about training & systems but find it hard to make a choice. i dont just want to do a decent set of nails, i want to be great:lol:, any help would be appreciated, would prefer a local course but will travel to get the best. and thanks to all those who have pm'd me to say hi and make me welcome. LOve the site:hug:

Hiya .. welcome to the site.

How about ringing all of the branded names....Creative, Ez Flow etc and ask them to all send you some info on their training....once you have it all in front of you it might be easier to see whats what.

I would also say go by recommendation and reputation.

thanks, i have creatives number and will be ringing them tomorrow, dont want to ring everyone cause i dont want to field a million follow up calls:eek: . cheers for the reply, most people seem to recommend creative so here goes

I'm just waiting for available dates for the CND at Newcastle course...I have the Leeds dates but Newcastle is much closer to home for me to drive there everyday. I'm starting from scratch and I'm going to do the foundation CND course as I only learnt the nails through a Beauty Therapy unit and I'm not happy with the training I got. I'm like you slingwood..I don't just want to do nails - I want to do superduperfandabulous nails :green:

Could you please help me I am thinking about going on a nail course and need some advice on some really good courses that are out there.
I have been looking on the internet and have came across a few.
I would like the expert advice from you nail geeks before I go forward and book one. I live in Glasgow so in Glasgow your Scotland will be great.

Thanks:green:

I trained with Creative and would highly recommend it.

Have a read through some of the threads on here about training...(make a cuppa cos there are loads...:lol)

Go by reputation and recommendation.

This is a question that is asked every other day...if you do a search on here for nail courses it will bring oodles of threads up giving you all the info to help you make your mind up HTH

Hi Annie1984,

You are spoiled for choice in Glasgow as most of the main Nail companies run courses in the Glasgow area, that includes EzFlow, NSI, Entity to name but a few.
Depending on where you are in Glasgow and you don't mind travelling, there are also courses available in Edinburgh from EzFlow, CND, and Young Nails.

I would advise you phone about and get details re their courses (daytime or evening), prices, duration and class sizes etc.

This article by Sassy is a good read before you embark on finding the right course for you.
