Does anyone know of a good course that teaches Trigger point and deep tissue massage in one go, preferably one that you or someone you know has actually done, as I'm searching on the web but it's impossible to tell which ones are actually any good. I'm in South West London. Thanks in advance

Thanks I'll have a look.

Those courses look excellent, it says they all cover trigger point massage, I think I would also like to do the pregnancy massage but I think that is in Brighton.

I was going to recommend the same company. My friend has done a few courses with them and she says they're excellent.

I'm doing a course at the moment with the Academy of On Site Massage (Google AOSM), which is clothed massage using a massage chair. We're learning all sorts of acupressure points to release tension, and which meridians they're on etc...possibly not quite what you're after at the moment, but it's excellent and i'm loving it! We do a bit of deep massage on specific points which is more effective than any other massage I've ever received, and incredibly easy to do (No pressure on your thumbs/wrists etc, as you're using your body weight etc). Worth a look perhaps?

Ps; London to Brighton is so easy by train, I'm going Worthing to London twice in a weekend to do my course. Don;t let Jing's location put you off! I've only heard good things about them too, considering some courses myself :) Plus Brighton's great for a weekend shopping by the sea :) xxx

I'm doing ITEC sports massage at the moment, which teaches trigger points although the technique is referred to as NMT (neuomusular technique) instead. It also covers lots of other deeper tissue techniques and is useful for remedial massage not just for sports people. There is an ITEC website where I think you can find the nearest training to you.

Thanks everyone, really helpful.

theirs a guy called Robert donkers does courses in Covent Garden.

ummm, now whats his company called, think its Integrated Body Dynamics Massage.

He does deep tissue, advanced massage techniques and such like. I did a course with him last year and thought it was good and am going to do the advanced massage with him something this year.

Hi Weezie

There are a few courses happening at the Dermal Institute. I believe the JING massage tutors will be teaching there.

There is also a hands free massage course on but unfortunately both dates are fully booked!

Apart from this, I have bought then Helen McGuinness DVDs and found them quite useful.
