Hi Guys,

I have completed a Creative L&P, 5 day course and have now passed collected my Certificates :).

I would be grateful if use could offer me some advise on prices. I can not decide what I should charge :confused:. I am mobile & people also come to my home.

Over Christmas I had quite a few booking and charged £15 for a full set & £10 for infills/rebalance, whilst waiting for my certificate.

I am trying to put together a price list for the following:-

Full Set of Acrylics
Infills
Rebalance
Acrylic Overlay
Soak Off
Replacement Nails

The best advice I can give it to look at your opposition and price your treatments accordingly.
Remember never to oversell yourself as its easier to reduce your prices than up them, but also dont oversell yourself as people will go elsewhere.

Congratulations!
However, I would say that don't UNDERsell yourself. You use premium products and your time is valuable. I deliberately pitched myself towards the top of the local competition and I'm very glad I did! If you're very cheap people will think it's because you're not very good. Sad, but true.
 
I just re-read my answer and I think I fell asleep near the end lol.. I totally agree, never undersell yourself as people will wonder why your so much cheaper than the rest and will go elsewhere as they will if your too expensive.
 
If you are planning to run this as a business you need to look at it in a business like way. Look at all your overheads (there is so much to include in this!) Overheads will be different from a home salon to a mobile service (don't forget you need business use on your car)

All this needs to be added up and built into prices. Then you needs to work out product costs per service then add what you need to earn per hour (not forgetting tax and NI). That will give you a starting point. Then have a look at your competition which shouldn't sway you too much as you need to decide if you want to be quality or quantity!

This is a very brief explanation but I don't believe prices should be just picked out of the air or only based on competitors.

Oh, and don't forget to add in some cost that will be set aside for further training
