Dear Ultra Sculptor #10 users, I purchased my US #10 on Oct. 31 and have been having some problems with it. I went to cnd.com to watch the videos again and the flags of my brush looks different than the US #10 that Tiffany and Roxanne use.

I had my son take a pic so you could see what I mean. It seems like the flags on my brush do not form an oval, no matter how hard I try.

Does my brush look OK, or do I need to trade her in for a new one?

Thanks so much for your help!

seems ok to me, can you make it into a point? where did you buy it?

The point isn't too pointy, IYKWIM. I bought it at Cosmo Prof...a beauty supply in my area. :)

is the brush dry in the pic, it looks it, when wet mine goes flat or into a sharp point i keep it in a point though all the time when not in use.
I do not use it alot just yet, but keep it hydrated all the time by regularly giving it a drink of monomer so it does not dry out

For this pic, I dipped in monomer, then flattened it out. When I'm done, I do make it as pointy as it will go and store it that way.

Thanks! :)

just thought i would show you a pic of how mine looks, i havent used it for about a week or so, just regularly given it a dip in monomer

So, when your brush is flat, it doesn't have a perfect oval shape?

here is a pic of my brush flat, have a look and see what you think, if you are not happy with your contact your supplier and ask them to change it if you think that it was not right when you brought it, i am positive that they will change it for you

Yep this is how mine is too. I agree that it does look a little dry. Give it a drink of monomer and see if it looks any different and if you're still not happy contact your supplier

Well! I just think those brushes were rude!!!

Not one smile!!!

I will start by saying that the quality control of CND brushes is normally fantastic ... I've never had a bad one. Having said that, the end of this brush to me does look a bit 'raggedy' and it should look like the other brush picture shown. Whether this is because it is dry or not I can't say, but if not happy I would change it (depending how long yo have had the brush) your supplier should be happy to do that.

I have seen brushes that look like yours after techs have used something to remove hardened product from the ends of the hairs. Doing this can tear the hairs of the brush at the ends and make them look raggedy too. Have you done anything like that?? If not take it back and exchange it.

I agree with Gigi.. my U/scul 10 does not look like yours... mine forms a perfect oval.. take it back.. it will give you lines and uneven work..
Hope they change it for you.. I know that my supplier would need to send it back to CND .. they are difficult to deal with here. Good luck

Thank you for posting this pic. I think that's how it is supposed to look. I wish mine looked that good!

I agree...CND's quality is superb! All my other brushes are FAB! Whether this brush is dry or wet with momomer, the edges are raggedy. :|

I haven't had hardened acrylic in it nor have I picked at the bristles. (I know what you mean...I've seen other techs do that and it makes me cringe). And, I only clean the brush in clean momomer. I've had the brush about a month now, kept having problems with it and when I watched the CND videos, Tiffany and Roxanne's brushes don't look like mine, they look like Sian1979's.

I went to the store I purchased it from last night and they were going to exchange it BUT (just my dumb luck) they have 'suspended' getting any new US #10's. Now, I don't know what to do. Suggestions, anyone?

Thank you so much for your reply!

Thank you so much everyone for your replies and your help.

Here is the solution: I can exchange my US #10 brush for other products at the store of my original purchase. I have called another beauty supply in the area and they are holding an US #10 for me. I'll be picking that one up tonight! I can't wait!

Again, thank you!

aww well done glad u got a good result in the end
