Uniform for college, still waiting

Hi

I just wondered if anyone else who is currently at college, is still waiting for their uniform? I won't say the name of the supplier (it's a well known one), but several of us are still waiting for our uniforms. We've emailed and got no reply, or phoned, and when we get through, we get one excuse or another. The uniform is embroidered, so we can't even tell them where to stick it and go somewhere else.

The course started beginning of September, I paid for my uniform 28th August online, some paid before, and I think this is taking the P. To top it all, we only got our actual kits last week, and we've nearly finished the section on manicure. I've done it before, but it's really unfair on those who haven't as they haven't had a chance to practise with proper utensils, products, etc.

Anyone else having problems?

hiya!

last year (first year hairdressing), we ordered our tunics from a well known company and after lots of excuses by them we had to wear black t-shirts until the x-mas hols!

then we finally got them in jan and we discovered it was because someone had made a mistake with the order and had sent white ones for hairdressing and they had to go back! (imagine white when using tint!)


our kits this year took ages too! least a month!

and our manicure ones took a good few weeks too! fortunately i had went to sallys and bought most of my things!

I am having the same issues.

When we first enrolled at college we were told that the college were doing a block order from a company here in Belfast that make them but we could get more than one. I knew I would need more than one because my class is on a Monday night, and that's the night my ironing gets collected to get done.

I went to the little place, which looks like the original factory in Corrie!!!!! Placed the order, went to collect it a week later and found out they had sold it to someone else. Ordered a second one and gave my name and phone number again, but I was delayed in collecting it due to my Grandma passing away. When I went for it last week, they said again it had been sold because I hadn't been for it, so ordered another one. Went to collect it today after a week and this time they hadn't even made it. The lady was very apologetic and is now delivering it my house. I have ordered two because the college is now NOT ordering them for us!!!!! I know I could order them online, but these are made to measure and very reasonable.

My kit was coming from Salon Services and we didn't get them for two weeks, but luckily the first two weeks were induction weeks.

our college is having exactly the same problem!!!:irked: even the tutors haven't got theirs, so just now they just look the same as the hairdressing students!!!

well I finally got my uniform today, and I'm one of the lucky ones, it looks to be all there!

the first of our kits arrived last week, there are 3 people who haven't yet received uniform OR kit, and one or two others with one not the other. We finish manicure next week, so have had a total of 3 weeks to properly practise. Thats rubbish!

These companies need to realise todays students are tomorrows bread and butter for them, they are skating on thin ice:grr:

I ordered mine from la beeby and it all came through on time,however we are all still waiting on our text books.It's a joke , they have over 6 weeks to order them.

Well I finally got my uniform yesterday. It looks really well and it is a lovely shade of red.

Looking forward to actually looking the part on Monday night
