unit 19 / NOCN

Hiya to you all

I hope someone can give me a difinative answer - here goes

Some time ago I did an NOCN (national open college network) qualification at level 2 in beauty therapy. This I was told was equivalent to NVQ level 2 - I have since found out from the originating college in Derby and Basildon college That it is not and if I wanted to do nvq level 3 I would still have to do NVQ level 2.

My NOCN covered:-
Manicure
Pedicure
Eye treatments - shaping, tinting
Waxing
Facials
reception, health and safety, team work, customer relations,business plan
remedial camouflage make up

we touched on - aromatherapy, st tropez, tooth gems, eyelash application - but these are not listed on my certificate

As you can imagine I was devastated - i felt I had wasted a years work. Anyhoooo

I have now decided I really want to concentrate on nails in particular unit 19, 309 or whatever. Sooooooo how much work will I have to re-do??????

I will call H.A.B.I.A to find out specifically what when how much etc but would also value your comments if you have any thoughts please
