Apologes for if this has been asked before - I am on my phone and find it hard to search. I applied a set of extensions on a client a couple of weeks ago who is due her rebalance on Friday. I have just had a call from her to say she has loss of feeling on her fingertips that has just started. I am very aware when I am doing a set that nothing touches sidewalls, skin etc. Can someone give me some words of wisdom? I'm confused as to why this has just started now after wearing them for a wee while.

Thanks

I doubt very much if it has anything to do with her nails but you must recommend she sees her G.P. I, personally wouldn't do anything else for her without her doctor's say so. I would also contact my insurance company to let them know that she is concerned, they prefer to be kept informed of anything like this. :)

I would tell her to see her doctor, that sounds like medical thing...not a nail technician thing.

reminds me i must ring and tell my hairdresser that my ears itch....PMSL......sorry couldn't resist

Definitely a medical diagnosis is needed not a nail technician diagnosis. If she is really concerned suggest removing them.

I don't agree with contacting your insurance company. They must be told as soon as there is a formal complaint but this is just a question at the moment. Suggestions of litigation make insurance companies a bit jumpy and you don't want to be viewed as a bad risk when there is nothing happening.

I am so glad you guys said that!! I was worrying in case I'd missed something!!

Bagpuss that made me laugh quite a bit!

Thank you mum. You have all put my mind at rest - it's what I was thinking anyway but thought perhaps I was overlooking something. She is coming in today rather than Friday so I'll suggest for her to go to the docs and I'll have a look at the nails while she is in and if need be I'll do a removal.
