Urgent: Nvq!!!

There has been such a buzz about Standardizing in the nail industry I thought it would be easy to find somewhere that does assessments. Not so, every place I have spoken to want you to do some training with them first and then do the assessment. I am already qualified and working but to work in Westminster council where I am moving to, I need an NVQ. I need to get this assessment done in the next couple of weeks or so!! 6 weeks is way too long! I wish I had realised what I wanted to do when I was 18 and done a full time college course, life would be so much easier now!!

Does anyone know of anywhere that does the NVQ assessment (Manicures, for now)? Thank you!!

The ANT website normally has a list of Satellite Assessment Centres where you can go and do your nvq assessments with no additional training if your already trained for the nvq you want to do, im not sure but think you now have to go onto ANTs website via Professional Beauty and Professional Spa - Welcome and theres a link on there, if not then ring the ANT direct and they will be able to tell you where your nearest SAC is

I'm probably being thick!! But there is nothing about specific NVQ Assessment centres!! Any other ideas!! I've phoned them and they're not picking up!! I'm getting so frustrated. I've got my mum on board to pay for this right now but I can't even give her a figure!!

Try going onto the City and Guilds website, they have a list of assessors on their site, it is a little time consuming navigating round but there is a number on there you can call and they will help you to the point of emailing you the assessement centres in London and there are quite a few.

Why not try ezflow.co.uk they are based in lancashire but they are an ANT site they should be able to give you the details you need.... good luck...H x

Thank you. I finally spoke to someone! got some advice. i guess I'm going to have to do a full course really. disheartening but thats the way the cookie crumbles. I guess I'm going to have to get a job somewhere else until I've done this NVQ!

i do know that carlton institue do very short NVQ courses but will ***** you first no idea what they cost but take a look at the web site... beauty courses, nail courses, beauty therapy courses, massage courses, beauty schools, beauty training, beautician courses... H x
