Hi Geeks

Yet more questions - I have been looking at some of the coloured powders available, and think they look great! Slight problem is i am not sure how to work with them. So far I have only done standard p&w using tips.
Do you use them as you would standard pink/white/clear powders?
Can you use them straight over the natural nail/tip?
do they have to be sandwiched between say coats of clear?

I am sure its come up loadsa times already but your help would be much appreciated :green:

I'm not sure this is the correct reply but i have used a glitter pink acrylic powder and i placed it straight onto my tip and capped it with clear. I applied it thinly so i could then put a thin layer of clear on top and not end up with a huge thick nail!!

I applied it just as i do with any other acrylic mix

I'm sure someone we'll be along to hopefully give you a bit more of a proffesional opinion

Have fun with the colours

beetween layers of clear is probaly best for sculpting but bottom layer of clear is probaly not needed with tips, capping it would be though
1) you use less of the color when capping,
2)clear to cap it will help bring out shine and if theres any glitter in it then clear will stop you filing the color off the glitter ,
I dont belive there is a right or wrong way,I think it is good to play and see what works for you for the affect your trying to find,
if you look in my photos the set I have on now i used red acrylic at the back I did not lay clear down first as I will more than likely change these nails in a few weeks insted of rebalancing them ,
is that what you ment?I hope this helped?
