Hi,

Before I begin I just want to let you all know that I am totally devoted and faithful to the Creative brand, and always have been- I won't use anything else where possible. However, I have an issue when doing spa pedicures that I'd like your feedback on...

I have one of the new Callus Smoothers which I use after leaving Sea Serum on the hard areas for 5 minutes (wrapped in towels). For some reason, when I remove the towels and use the Callus Smoother, absolutely nothing appears to happen. This is my main issue. Also, the towels seem to be slightly 'stuck' onto the areas of the feet that the Sea Serum was applied. What am I doing wrong please? Any advice greatly appreciated, as I am so reluctant to think anything negative about Creative products and want to sort this out. x

Hi Croc,
Have you tried putting their feet into a plastic bag instead? I think that you're towel may be absorbing the serum. Hope this helps!

Hi Naildoctor,

Thanks for the reply. I think you may well be right here, it does make lots of sense. Are there any "special" plastic bags for this that you know of?

Thanks!

I use bags which are meant to be used for paraffin wax, they are ideal!

I use the ones made for paraffin, and then wrap in hot towels. I then rinse, dry and then use the higher grit pedicure file as you don't want to use anything too rough. I know products that we can find in the US can differ from Europe, but the cheapest bags that I've found are in the grocery store. Here they're called bread and storage bags. But not the ones with the ziplock top. They have a twist-tie. I have saved a fortune!!

Hi Jo,

Which do you use and where do you get them from? x

i can't remember what brand they are but I just get them from my local Aston & Fincher, or Beauty Express. I'm pretty sure most wholesalers would sell them. They are called hand and feet liners. HTH :green:

Thanks Jo, will get some ASAP. Your reply is much appreciated!

You're very welcome!

Sweet Squared sell boxes of 100 plastic hand/foot bags, I use them with my wheat mitten for the SpaManicure.

I use plastic wrap (like you use to wrap sandwhiches in), I wrap the foot leaving the toes open so I can work on the nails while the serum is working.

i also use plastic wrap (cling flim) then place foot in warm towel

Thanks everyone, great tips! God, I just love having all this knowledge and advice from fellow geeks. Afterall, one person can't know everything can they? Thousands of brains are better than one!
