Hiya girls

I have just started a gel course and practising on my Nail Trainer. I no I shouldn't be too critical as it was my very 1st attempt but after I cured the gel and wiped over with the nail solution it went really dull and cloudy, almost like a chalk kinda colour  I was just wondering where do you think I am going wrong? Im going to keep trying today, I refuse to go out until I do it right! lol.

Hope you can help girlies!

Lotsa love
Becky xx

hi
did u cure it for long enough.

I think so. Well I cured it for as long as I was told.

Im in the middle of doing another one but Im going to keep in under the UV for longer and see if this makes a difference :) fingers crossed!

Thanks girls

sometimes this be caused by not curing for long enough,
applying the gel to thinly
using a different brand of solution
your lamp needing new bulbs
or sometimes it can help if you wait a minute before wiping of the dispersion layer of gel.hth
i too have had the same problem so i hope you get it sorted.good luck with your training.x

Other things to consider is if you are using the correct lamp for your gel system, and also if you need a gloss/finishing gel - some gels don't have a shiny finish. The nails need to be positioned correctly in the lamp - especially with one row lamps - if they aren't getting a good exposure to the light then that could be a problem HTH x

aww thanks for all the info girls. I had a read through the links and the only thing left that I can try is putting a thick finishing layer on. I'll give it a go in a bit. I was starting to doubt myself :( Only started yday!! lol. I like to see instant results (could be the reason y I hate the gym so much) haha!

Thanks again girls!
