OMG what next

Rather ingenious though...
If I ever had to suffer the indignity of an intimate waxing, "I" would definately want one!!!
Maybe it's just me... but I think it would sell.

I cannot believe this, ok its a great marketing thing but again more plastic to be thrown away. One size fits all!!! rubbish, I am compelled to write this. I do many many brazilians etc and this would not fit all my ladies. Definately not. I would never entertain such a gimmick. None of my clients bits , so to speak, are exposed because of the way we do our treatments, a trade secret I would say but many will soon be copying it. I am not bothered but this just enraged me. Do not waste your money I say.

Hi all

Has anyone seen/used these?

I can't say I can see that they would be the worlds hottest sellers? but I maybe wrong!:green:

Australian Bodycare Trade Website | Va j-j Visor

I saw them last week in andy's wax master class

Hmmm I think the wax itself is scary enough with someone you dont know.....but with that as well !!!!!!

Not for me im afraid .....x

:oIt takes a lot for clients to get naked waist down for waxing as it is, personally i think asking clients if they would like to use this gadget would only add to any embarrassment felt. xxx

I would PREFER to use it, if I ever had the nerve to get waxed (don't care for pain and don't care for exposing myself LOL).
That would cover the most intimate parts of all... I'd personally feel better about it... although I'd probably laugh at the strangeness of it all.

AND I wouldn't have to paranoy and stress about wax getting into some very funny places indeed.............

Good grief!! If the technician waxing knows what they are doing, there is absolutely NO reason why someones 'bits' would be in danger of getting waxed off!!

As someone who has never had it done. As someone who knows that techs can lie about their experience. As someone living in a province that does NOT require licensing, nor provide a decent education............ I feel that I have EVERY RIGHT to be concerned about wax getting dribbled where it shouldn't be and it's not unreasonable for me to worry.
I learned to wax in my DEP Cosmetology (2yrs long) course, and I KNOW that accidents happen and wax CAN end up where it shouldn't be.
So there's no need for the exclamation points and the "Good grief".
And to clarify, I didn't say anything would get waxed off. I said that wax could end up in a funny place. Don't put words in my mouth, thank you.

It's all fine and dandy for a qualified tech with plenty of experience to be SURE of themselves.... HOWEVER that certainty will do NOTHING for the novice client who has to sit there with their vulnerables exposed. A client has every right to feel nervous and wonder 'what if'. It's only natural.
And to be honest....... if a client DIDN'T worry their first time with a brand new tech that they didn't know.... then I'd think they were pretty darned stupid. Why? Refer to my first paragraph of this reply.

IF something like this makes them more comfortable, then WHY NOT?
There is absolutely no harm in it, so why on earth should it bother you?

Umm..... I actually didn't read your post before I posted, so I wasn't referring to it... I was referring to the product in general, not putting words in your mouth. If I was, I would have quoted it.

i'm wondering if this gadget would stay in place when the skin is manipulated to stretch for waxing ?

My bad, for making an assumption. (and that was assuming your post was in response to mine) I know better.
Thanks for your private message

How funny is that! Protection from what exactly? A good waxer and a good wax would never cause damage.

But that's just it...... in MY area of town, there is NO guarantee that you will get a GOOD waxer.

And, from the perspective of someone who is shy and petrified.... "I" personally would feel better, NO MATTER how good the tech is.
Not just from fear of wax getting where it's not supposed to be, but to feel less exposed as well (it's the exposure that bothers me more than anything else...).
Keeping in mind, these weren't created for the beauticians. These were created for the client's.

I'm not trying to say this thing is bad or good. I haven't tried it and I likely won't (couldn't tolerate getting moustache waxed.. and I'm rather private..).
But I DO think it's a marvelous idea for preserving a very small sense of dignity regarding one's privvies.
Just because one person feels just fine tossing their legs wide open and exposing themselves to a stranger, doesn't mean that everyone feels that way.

I'm the kind of person that screams at the unecessary staff and med students crowding the birthing room, while in labour, and what I hollered was "If I wanted everyone to see my hoo-haw, I'd pose in playboy! So if you don't have a job to do, get the #$%^&* hell out!!!" and they left.
And yes, I'm NOT kidding.. I DID do that!

So for me, if I could tolerate the pain and etc... I would DEFINATELY want one of those!
