Lots of questions about ventilation here on the forum recently .. why not do a search on extraction ventilation as there is plenty of information for you to read.

I have searched but all i can seem to find is things about different types of ventilation. I am more conserned about the laws etc as the place I am about to open does not have a window. and the tables I am looking to buy do not have vents. H

Then I would make sure you spend you money wisely and not even contemplate buying desks that do not have extraction ventilation. You absolutely must circulate and bring fresh air into a room like you describe.

It goes against every manufacturer's advice NOT to do so.
Why are you thinking of opening up a salon without the right equipment?
What about your health?? That is what you should be worried about not just the law. Sounds like a recipe for disaster to knowingly open in a room where you have not provided pleasant and healthy conditions for both you and your clients.

I understand what you are saying I also need to know what I am and not allowed to have regarding ventilation. I wasnt ruleing out buying tables without vents, I was just asking before going ahead and buying the ones I have seen. H

OK ... Bearing in mind that you have to provide a safe environment for clients it means you have to get fresh air into that room. You need to extract the dust and vapour outside the room (most likely through an outside wall and then you need to bring fresh air in through some sort of vent in the wall even a vent axia. I don't think there are 'set in stone' rules as such but in a small room it is essential to do this.
