Last week I got my semi-virgin (relatively dark) brown hair bleached at the salon and it still feels healthy. If anything, it feels healthier and softer than before. I know bleaching is an incredibly damaging process, with people saying their hair felt like straw afterward and even had chunks falling out.
Is my hair still alright because this is my first time bleaching it? Should I expect the damage to take time to appear?
Also, I say "semi-virgin" because the lower half of my hair had some highlights in it. My hairstylist applied bleach twice, I think it was because of that.
