Iv'e searched and can't find what I need.

Has anyone ever order window decals from Vistaprint?

I just want to know if they are sticky ones that are difficult to remove or if they are vinyl ones, and can be repositioned easily.

I want to put one in the rear window of my car, a basic one, but if it is gluey then I don't want that type.

I want they vinyl ones that you probably wet the window and slide it around for positioning and then smooth it out for final application.

But if I go to sell my car I want to be able to remove it easily without having to scrape the window etc.

Hiya. All stickers are made up of the same thing believer it or not. Just different types of vinyl. You can wet any window and slide around as you say but it's not as easy as it sounds to fit a rear window of a car properly.

I used to do a couple a week at firm I worked for and it can be a pain in the backside depending on what car it is.

You could get a vinyl that's called easy re positionable vinyl that's made of microscopic holes that makes it slightly easier to get bubbles out.

Or what I would recommend is one way vision. It's a bit if vinyl with 50% holes so you can see the advert from the outside but you can still see out perfectly through your rear view window.

I think I know the type you want.
Like the window stickers you put in windows at Christmas with sants's, snowmen, snowflakes & stuff on them, where you just have to peel the sticker back off again when you want to remove it & wet again and reaply on new window when ready.

Yes Baggybear that's exactly what I want. Are the Vistaprint ones like that? Does anyone know?

I tried calling and asking but I don't think he knew what I meant. He was in some far off land of sunniness.

I ordered a Vistaprint window decal but I've not used it (as I've not decided where I'll use it) & not really looked it cloesly. Will go & dig it out and let you know.

The type you can stick on and move/take off when you want? Like they use in car dealerships? Says stuff like diesel and automatic on the windscreen?

This is called static cling vinyl.

It will come off if your driving with it on unless it's on the inside of the windscreen which might not give great visibility.

Yes static cling is the type she is after & yes to put on the inside of the car window.
The vistaprint ones are not that big (well my one isn't) so wouldn't get in the way of view too much (obviously this does depend on where you put it lol).

The one I have from Vista print is NOT a static cling, it is a sticky one.

Yes I have used Vistaprint window decals and you can choose them to either go inside or out. I chose inside and used to have one on my rear window. It's easy to put in, as long as you mark the centre point to line it up and also remember that it's backwards whilst on the backing still! You spray the window with water and put it on, using something like a credit card to smooth it out and push out any air bubbles.

I had it on for a long while and when it came to removing it was really simple to come off. I ordered another large window decal from them that I had put lots of images/text on so that I could cut them out to be individual ones. I have used these on my house and car windows, again very simple and no issues.

Oh thank you for that nicole333. That answers my question. I have a new car and want to advertise just in the rear window. It's a kind of lease contract so when I come to return it, I dont want to have to scrape bits off and risk damage.

Thank you so much. It doesn't cost much so not a lot to lose.
