Voip calls

Hi,

I'm a mobile therapist and get a lot of calls from companies asking if i want a website etc....

anyway, i just received a call from a man with a 0560 area code, i answered and he just said 'do you have a website'.... thinking it was just another one of these companies i said 'yes i do thanks'... he asked if he could look at it which i thought strange, so i asked who he was to which he gave me his name. I asked what company he was from and he said he isn't from a company and just said 'ok thanks' and hung up...

I googled the number and came across Voip calls....never heard of this before! I tried to call him back to apologise for being rude, he answered then hung up on me! oops!

Just thought i'd share in case other people get calls from a number with an area code they don't recognise!

BT do something similar with their home hub, if you have their broadband talk the number starts with a similar (if not the same) code

Hi, yes previous poster is right about BT. We have bt broadband which we get a phone on the bt home hub and the number starts 0560 xx
