Water marble nail art?

could i put clear accrylic on top of water marble design, or would i do acrylic nails first,then water marble then seal with top coat of clear nail varnish?x

I would do acrylic (if the nails were to be extended) followed by the water marbling nail art and then a top coat polish OR a top coat gel that is designed to work over polish.
