Hi,

I’m new to waxing, I qualified in April and so far have only done eyebrow waxing.

I test the temp on my self and ask if the temp is ok for the client but I am still finding that the day after the wax the eyebrow area looks red and flaky, and scabs up.
Is the wax too hot even though they agree the temp is ok, or am I doing something else wrong?

I use salon systems just wax.

Thanks x

What temperature is your wax? Usually tears to the skin are caused by heat, wax too thick that it pulls the skin, skin not being taut when wax is removed or going over the same area too often. Or a combination of any of those things.

Most often it's stretching. Are you stretching the skin on both sides when pulling strips? Are you using oil or talc under wax?
