Hi geeks, been waxing for 3 years now and at the salon I currently work in we use australian bodycare wax. Sometimes when I'm waxing (no particular area) the wax isn't coming off with the strip, instead what's on the strip comes off so theres a big bit of wax stuck on the client. Any pointers as to why this is happening and how to stop it? Thanks!!!

Your clients skin could be dry or cold.
Try using a little pre wax oil, it will make a huge difference.

I use Perron rigots jasmine oil an it's fantastic :)

I had this when I started after my training because I had applied the wax too thickly.

As above it's usually to do with either dry or cold skin, when this happens, take the strip and remove the wax in the opposite direction it will come off easily.

I find this occasionally happens to me if I'm using paper strips, which I rarely do, and if there's quite a lot of wax already on the strip. I've never had it happen to me with a fabric strip.
